Both ted.com and nybooks.com tell that every search engine and website that we use, pick up on the kinds of things that we're interested in. For example, if each of us search something up in google, the results each of us get will be different. This is because companies are personalizing our searches and news feeds to what we regularly view and click on. This disables us from seeing different perspectives and views on topics other than those similar to our own. Those companies are making us to see, do, buy what they want. we are not paying attention to this problem because we need a way to decide what we want to see in internet. In the other hand, this way that they are implementing is good because the system recognize what you want just by knowing some information about you.
