Important Aspect of Internet

Both ted.com and nybooks.com tell that every search engine and website that we use, pick up on the kinds of things that we're interested in. For example, if each of us search something up in google, the results each of us get will be different. This is because companies are personalizing our searches and news feeds to what we regularly view and click on. This disables us from seeing different perspectives and views on topics other than those similar to our own. Those companies are making us to see, do, buy what they want. we are not paying attention to this problem because we need a way to decide what we want to see in internet. In the other hand, this way that they are implementing is good because the system recognize what you want just by knowing some information about you.

There is another article in www.nybooks.com called "Mind Control and the Internet" by Sue Halpern. This article shows that we can see the impact that technology is making in our lives. In medicine, there is a great advance and because of that, many people are able to talk, walk, use their brain, and do other things that are important for the development. In both article, the big problem is that those companies are just worried about making money... I believe they don't care to much about the impact in the society. Having too much technologies in our lives will increase the chance of having a better life. Doctors will not have to take more time studying. There will be more expenses for everybody. All in all, I believe technology is really taking over the world. Soon our lives will depend on technology as we do for air now.

Obama Campaign's Use of Social Networking Tools

Social Networking is a great opportunity if you know how to utilize it, and make it as profitable as you can, then you can succeed from it. In the campaign of Barack Obama in 2004, the use of technology was essential, because in the article how back Obama Really did it by David Talbot stated" MyBO and the main Obama site had already logged their share of achievements, particularly in helping rake in cash. The month before, the freshman senator from Illinois had set a record in American politics by garnering $55 million in donations in a single month. In Texas, MyBO also gave the Obama team the instant capacity to wage fully networked campaign warfare.

The most important part about Obama campaign team is that they have a central state for the team. They make sure they manage the network of the supporters, and the volunteers. They target every single opportunities to make sure they do not miss any opportunity. not like the other campaign's where they only target a certain type of people, which they thought they are the majority of the people. There is never a majority, every single vote counts and donators as well.
Obama campaign has a central networking system which they track everything to make sure they did not miss anything.

The Effects of Social Networking

Social networking has made is easier than ever to access different resources with just a click of a button. It has made connecting with others and sharing information very accessible.
However, there is also a negative side to this as well. Although, social network has made it very easy to connect with others, we should be aware who we are connecting with. You should be aware of who is behind the screen on the other end. Anyone can hide behind a screen and lie about anything and everything.

In the PBS, we see that everything these days are heavily impacted by the internet. People are very focus on their social image, kids are facing issues and trying to fit in this social era. In the generation, kids are living in a virtual realty. They have access to all the information in the world. They can connect with anyone they like online, without knowing who is really behind the screen. This can be dangerous as much as a luxury. The way to avoid the dangers would be to understand the dangers themselves and take cautious.
